A community of growth and generosity - a Herefordshire where people work together
to improve the quality of local lives.
not for anything devious. Just makes forms and such, work properly, and for Google
Analytics, so we can monitor our web traffic. For more information, see our Privacy
Policy and Cookie Statement.
We encourage and support charitable giving, matching people, ideas, resources and
aspirations. We give to local voluntary and community groups, charitable causes,
and sometimes individuals and families. Our support helps many projects that improve
the lives of the people of Herefordshire. And for our donors, we make grant making
and charity fund management both easy and efficient. Our grants…
ENABLE individuals to fulfil their ambitions to meet those needs.
ENCOURAGE villages and towns to thrive as communities.
ASSIST local organisations who help others in need.
In short, we help you to help others in Herefordshire.
NEWS FROM THE FOUNDATION
HOW OUR GRANTS ARE GIVEN
HCF administers a number of different funds which includes Comic/Sport Relief, ESF
Community Grants and PCT Small Schemes. These all have their specific application
processes and criteria.
Applications should be addressed to us and if a grant is awarded the applicant will
be advised of which fund (or funds) it came from. It is rare for any of these funds
to make an award of more than £1,000.
Applications for under £1,000 are welcomed as a 'free-format' letter but this of
course should include some standard information such as contact details, what is
the grant to be used for and when, a budget/costs and why the grant is needed. Please
do find out more. and feel free to contact us if you wish to discuss details before
Support our Herefordshire Funds. You can use your donation to support people in Herefordshire
through the Community Foundation or any of its appeal funds for sports, education,
arts and heritage in Herefordshire. If you wish your donation to be used for another
specific need, please tell us when making your donation, email email@example.com.
The Bulmer Gilmour Fund, founded under the Community First Scheme, made its first
grant to Staunton-on-Wye Pre-School (playground pictured above). One of the Fund's
donors visited the Pre-School to present the grant which enabled the provision of
a Summer Play Scheme with 20 places for local children.
Students Supported by Herefordshire Community Foundation Bursary
